The Dorothy Sutton Preliminary auditions will be held on Sunday, October 09, 2011, in the new Swope Hall, West Chester University from 13:30 until 19:00. The fee is $16.00. Deadline will be Saturday, October 01, 2011 at 23:59. Teachers may refer to the PMTA website located at  www.pamusicteachers.org   for more details and entry forms.

Students are required to play two compositions. The music for the elementary should be contrasting in style. No arranged music. Intermediate and advanced levels should be from two different periods of music history. Performance time may not exceed fifteen minutes.

Note: this year ensemble music will also be screened at the local level. There are no repertoire requirements for ensemble music.
In addition, all students, including ensemble audition students, are required to take a theory exam by 5:00 on the day of the audition. Theory test information is located on the PMTA website . Students must receive highest score from judge, plus score at least 90 on theory test, to qualify for showcase recital.
